The Genocide of Gaza Continues

Israel Nazi Flag

The genocide of Gaza continues as Israel pounds the civilian population there with bombs and missile strikes. The official death toll now exceeds 10,000 with many more undoubtedly yet to be found under the rubble, that used to be whole neighborhoods.

The UN estimates that 400 children are being killed each day. Children, under the age of 18, make up almost half the 2 million residents of Gaza.

The death toll in Gaza in one month already exceeds that of the war in Ukraine, that has been raging for close to two years.

Israel has bombed hospitals, schools, refugees camps, ambulance convoys and apartment buildings. The IDF even bombed refugees in areas it instructed them to go — literally leading them to slaughter.

Israel commits this act of genocide of Gaza with planes, missiles, and other munitions from the United States. President Joe Biden has offered emergency supplies so Israel can continue the massacre of Palestinians. This makes the U.S. complicit in these crimes, and worthy of international condemnation.

Many Americans object to what Israel is doing, though Washington has almost completely ignored them. It is important that Americans who recognize that Israel is not defending itself, but wantonly killing innocent civilians, must speak up, or they themselves are complicit.

Rashida Tlaib has spoken up in Congress and is being attacked viciously for it, with calls for censure. As a Palestinian, she has family in Gaza. She deserves support for her courageous stand in defending the defenseless.

Comments by Israeli officials about Palestinians mirror that of the German Nazis against Jews during World War II. There are no innocent Palestinians, according to these officials. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated: “There will be no electricity, no food, no fuel. Everything is closed. We are fighting human animals and we act accordingly.”

Energy Minister Israel Katz added: “We will win. They will not receive a drop of water or a single battery until they leave the world.”

A U.S. congressman, and former IDF soldier, Brian Mast from Florida, stated on the floor of the House: “I would encourage the other side to not so lightly throw around the idea of innocent Palestinian civilians, as frequently said,” Mast said. “I don’t think we would so lightly throw around the term ‘innocent Nazi civilians’ during World War II.” Mast made this statement only a day after a refugee camp in northern Gaza was bombed, killing dozens of women and children.

These men represent a racist ideology. They demonize a dispossessed population under siege, and blame it for it’s own condition — even though it is the Israeli state that displaced them. They never acknowledge the obligation of Israeli to protect the civilian population under it’s occupation. It’s hard to know if they even acknowledge the occupation itself. The Israeli government, as well as our own, is made up mostly of criminals that flaunt real law, in favor of their their supremacist version.
